My husband has a tenure-track job at a top 20 liberal arts school. I'm currently only working part-time/raising kids. I would like to eventually become financially secure myself. A seemingly easier route would be to go up the ladder of the non-faculty jobs; working in Academic Advising at the college for example. I do have an M.Ed, but not in higher education. I want to have a decent 80-90k min salary to be secure. Another option is to switch career to Physician Assistant, for example, which would require to start from scratch. I'm not sure if college teaching is for me, which would also require more schooling. Anyone else pondering smth similar. Thankful for any advice.
